What We Believe

Our goal is to enable all people to encounter God through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Everything we are and everything we have comes from Him and works together for His purpose.

About God

We believe there is one true Holy God. He is the Creator and Sovereign Ruler of the universe eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the beginning, God created all things that exist.

About Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son. He is wholly God and wholly man. He was miraculously born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life yet died on a cruel cross to atone for the sins of human beings. After He was buried, He bodily arose from the grave and was seen by numerous credible witnesses. He ascended into heaven and will personally return to establish His kingdom on the earth.

About the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit inspired the writing of Scripture and enables us to understand the truth. He reveals sins to individuals, and He invites sinners to repent and receive salvation. He brings assurance to the Christian and the church and empowers us for worship, evangelism, and service.

About the Bible

We believe the Bible was written by men as they were divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is true and without error. It is God’s revelation of Himself to humanity. The Bible reveals the principles by which God judges us and is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried.

About Salvation

We believe salvation is the gift of God and cannot be earned in any way. It is received by admitting you have sinned, turning from sinfulness (repentance) and turning toward God by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Every person who is saved can never lose his salvation and will spend eternity in heaven.  Every person who is not saved will spend eternity in hell.

About the Church

We believe the church is a local body of born-again believers. Each believer is uniquely gifted with Spiritual Gifts to build up the church. Jesus is the head of the church, and in His time, Christ will return to take believers to be with Him forever.

About Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

Jesus instructed His church to observe these two ordinances until His return. Each one illustrates the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

We believe that only born-again followers of Christ are to participate in the eating and drinking of the bread and juice during the Lord’s Supper. This observance is a very solemn and reverent service. Participants should spend meaningful time in prayer in anticipation of this observance.

We believe baptism means immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe it serves as a picture of the transformation already at work in the life of a new Christian. Baptism has no power to impart salvation, but it is an act of obedience to Christ’s command.
