First Baptist Hartselle Student ministry strives to ready our students for the daily battles they’ll face. Peer pressure, self-doubt, depression, anxiety, and identity are real adversaries that face our teens today.
We treat our meeting times like a locker room at halftime. No one has ever won a game in the locker room. In the locker room, we go over the game plan. God’s Word is encouraging and convicting. He knows what we stand in need of. Sometimes we tape “proverbial ankles”; sometimes we get tough and correct mistakes. The locker room is a place to be encouraged and refreshed. We ready our students to step back out onto the playing field (school, work, home) knowing that victory is already theirs according to the Lord. The Church isn’t where the game is won -- the church is where we prepare to go win the game.
